"How you played in yesterday's game is all that counts." - jackie Robinson
The World Series is the MLB championship that takes place in the fall of every year. This event has taken place each year since 1903 between the American League and the National League. The 2 teams to make it into the world series is conducted through a "best-of-seven playoff". The winner gets to take home the Commisioner's Trophy. Before the modern
World Series we have today, there were similar precursors. The original World Series was between the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players and the National League, the 2 biggest leagues at the time. The World Series game did not have a set amount of games because it was negotiated by the owners of that team. After the collapse of
the American Association, the National League was the only major league. Other championships were played like the Temple Cup and the Chronicle-Telegraph Cup. In 1901 and 1902 no World series games were played because the leagues fought. So in 1902 the teams each made a football team and accidentally founded the National Football League.
